Again, he reminds me of who I truly am.
We sat down, having coffee, reviewing the journey weβve been through for such a long time. He came from Surabaya, we met in Malang, and somehow ended up going to Blitar together.
He has always been one of my support systems whenever I need someone to talk to, especially when Iβm working on something creative. He keeps visiting me, wherever I am. And somehow, every time we talk, I find another piece of myself.
This time, our conversation brought me back to something Iβve been feeling for a while.
Apparently, Iβm really into the concept of documentary content.
Maybe Iβve always been.
The way we capture ordinary people, small moments, places, conversations, struggles, and stories. Not just creating something to be watched, but something that keeps a piece of reality alive.
And perhaps what I needed from our conversation was simply validation.
I donβt know. Maybe I need it. And maybe you do too, right?
Sometimes, we already know what we want to do. We just need someone to say, βYeah, youβre actually good at this. Keep going.β
A good validation gives us confidence.
And sometimes, confidence gives us a sense of accomplishment.
Maybe thatβs what I got from another cup of coffee and another long conversation with an old friend.
A little validation.
A little reminder of who I really am.
